Importance of Water For Good Skin

The Truth About Water and Skin:
We heard our whole life that water is good for skin. But how?
There is one essential nutrient no person can live without and that is water. Skin is an organ, and like any other organ of the body, it is made of cells. Just like other cells, skin cells need water to carry out proper functions. Without water, skin cells cannot function properly and live healthily.

In today's life style, there are many habits that can make you dehydrated. These are some examples, prolonged exposure to the sun, cold winds, air conditioning units, fat free diets, coffee and other caffeinated drinks, and medications (even allergy and pain medications can make you dehydrated).
Dehydration leads to sensitized skin. Dehydrated skin will also be dry, tight, and flaky. This type of skin is more prone to wrinkles.

So to achieve the best skin, add pure water to your diet. This will keep your skin and body healthy. It eliminates toxins and wastes. Even acne sufferers have reported a radiant glow.

The bottom line is to add 2-3 liters of pure H2O (no additives) to your diet everyday. 2-3 liters of pure H2O is recommended for an ideal lifestyle, but if you're lifestyle has one of the aforementioned examples, then you probably need more water than 2-3 liters.

Nothing will happen over night, but a good couple of weeks of increased water intake is enough for you to see how hydration affects your skin.
